I am a well trained and experienced Consultant Gynaecologist working as Assistant Professor in DY Patil Medical College and Hospital, Mumbai and also doing regular Locum duties at Consultant/ Senior Registrar level in UK.

I have more than 12 years of teaching experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I have been an Assistant Professor for more than 5 years now.

Research:

  • Thesis on ‘Role of Prophylactic Cervical cerclage in Twin Gestation’. Performed in Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital, Bombay during post graduate period. (2001-2004). This study proved statistically that prophylactic os tightening done in early second trimester does not confer an added advantage in twin pregnancies. This thesis was accepted for MD examination by the University of Mumbai, India.
  • Thesis on Role of Percutaneous Balloon Mitral valvotomy in Mitral Stenosis in Pregnancy performed at KEM and Wadia Hospital, Mumbai, India, presented at the FCPS examination in 2004.

  1. Novasure – outcomes and patient satisfaction at 6 months in 2007 at Yeovil District Hospital.
  2. VBAC- Success rates and predictors for its success in 2007 at Yeovil District Hospital.

  6. Case report on Angiomyolipoma in pregnancy at Perth Royal Infirmary in 2009 presented as a poster at the Regional conference at Leeds in 2010.
  7. Audit on Severe Preeclampsia in Airedale Hospital in 2014.
  8. Audit on surgical management of ectopic pregnancy at Airedale hospital in 2013.
  9. TLH audit in Calderdale Royal Hospital 2014, presented locally at the Audit and Clinical Governance meeting.

Extracurricular Activities:

 

I am an avid fan of Sports and have represented my college in Badminton and swimming.

 

I am also interested in Computers and have completed the ECDL certificate course

Driving is my hobby and I have a permanent UK Driving licence along with an Indian one as well.


I have good administrative skills as well and was incharge of rota for Junior doctors in my previous job as lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and as ST7 in Calderdale Royal Hospital.
