Ophthalmology is both my calling as well as my passion.
My husband, Dr. Debadutta Parija, works as a Regional Medical Officer with WHO (RNTCP). I have a five year old daughter.
My father, Late Prof. Narayan C. Mohanty was a MBA faculty at the Miles College, Birmingham, AL, USA. He was the founder of the Sanjay Memorial Institute of Technology, Kukudakhandi, Odisha and a member of the Berhampur Univ. Senate. My mother is a writer and homemaker. My younger brother, my only sibling, is a physician with a Masters in Public Health and Business Management from UAB, Alabama, USA and was the National Program Manager for HIV-India cares, New Delhi. Currently, he works as the State Program Manager for JHPIEGO - an affiliate of the Johns Hopkins University in the field of Maternal and Child Health in Odisha.
