Currently called as Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute is a medical college owned by the Govt of Karnataka, and is the only government college in Bangalore which has an urban campus of 200 acres.

Established in 1955 , the teaching hospitals attached to the institution are Victoria hospital, Bowring and Lady Curzon hospital,  Minto  Eye hospital, Vani Vilas Women and Children’s hospital. I have been teaching the undergraduate students for the past 21 years and have been a popular teacher appreciated by students, peer and also by the management and have received an appreciation letter from the Chief Executive officer in 2012. Teaching has been my passion and I do with the sole motive of producing best doctors and surgeons.
