TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / SKILLS ACQUIRED:
I worked as Junior  Resident in the Department of  Pharmacology and         Gastroenterology at PSGIMSR, Coimbatore and did research study  in       Clinical evaluation of  Itopride trial in patients with Non Ulcer Dyspepsia / Chronic Gastritis.

 I worked in Emergency and Intensive Care Unit at KMCH, Coimbatore managing
patients with medical  emergencies and learnt the skills in performing         intubation,  invasive lines & care of  patients on mechanical ventilation.

I underwent my postgraduation in DNB Anaesthesiology at KMCH & DA at        PSGIMSR and  learnt the art of anaesthesia in operating room covering     various surgical specialities. I observed, learnt and performed  the   anaesthetic procedures like spinal  anaesthesia, epidural anaesthesia, central         venous cannulation, arterial  cannulation, nerve blocks, general anaesthesia and setting up of patient controlled analgesia.

I also learnt the steps and protocols followed during preoperative assessment and               preparation of patients scheduled for surgeries, conduct of anaesthesia and         postoperative recovery period including pain management.
I attended the audit meeting, journal clubs and departmental teaching sessions in
the anaesthesiology & Intensive Care Unit department. I did stay duties once        in 6 days through out my postgraduation curriculum.

I joined as registrar in cardiothoracic surgery at KMCH, Coimbatore and attained
skills in cardiothoracic anaesthesia. I attained better skills and confidence in
conducting  anaesthesia in CABG’s, Valve replacement and thoracic surgeries.

I was working in Paediatric Cardiothoracic Unit and gained immense knowledge in          paediatric anesthesia, paediatric ventilatory management and paediatric          resuscitation.

I joined as senior resident in Department of Anaesthesia, PSGIMSR, Coimbatore
and started my career conducting anaesthesia on my own. I reaped    confidence in anaesthetizing  high risk surgical patients, difficult airway        patients and ventilator management individually.

I took special interest in gaining recent advances in anaesthesia and in academic
activities to anaesthesia postgraduates, operating theatre technicians and     MBBS graduates
